It is about Christians that are single who are seeking God.

We don’t see singleness as something to be fixed. It is simply where we are at this juncture - at this time in our lives. We, like others with different demographics, face unique challenges in our walk. This summer in the Gathering, we will be taking on these challenges one issue at a time, using some of today’s best writers on those topics.

Read…
a book or two over the summer
that will encourage and challenge.

Reflect…
with others once a week on the topics
that unfold within the readings.

Relax…
over a frappuccino or an iced tea and
have some stimulating conversations.

1st-order the book--Singles at the Crossroads: A Fresh Perspective on Christian Singleness by Albert Y. Hsu. Amazon has it for about $12.

2nd -attend the orientation gathering on June 3rd @ the new Shane’s @ the intersection of Mansfield and Burt K. We’ll eat together and layout plans.

3rd- pencil in 1 ½ hours on Thursdays from 6:00 to 7:30 in the evening -June through August. It’s Summer so none of us will be there every time, but we’ll try to have a facilitator every Thursday.

Orientation- Thursday, June 3rd @ 6pm- Try to have your book by then. You will be given a list of dates with their locations for the first few sessions and we’ll chat about the reading plan. It is important that you make this first meeting, but if you can’t please contact Eric. We need to start out knowing the size of the group.

Hosts Wanted…We’ll meet some at local coffee shops and maybe a few ice cream or yogurt shops. It would also be nice to hangout in each others homes some. If you would like to host one of the Gatherings please contact Eric. Hosting doesn’t mean providing food unless you want to. If you host others can bring the goodies.
